Hi Jasper, just thought I’d share some positive vibes with you on my latest and hopefully last Landcruiser setup.

My wife and I are overlanding/ camping enthusiasts and love our bush travels. I’m on my 5th 79 series Landcruiser setup/ build and I think we finally found the one that fits us best – Bushwakka 25 034.

My previous canopy tray (2025)was from a very reputable manufacturer in Johannesburg and their workmanship and service was great.

However I went the roof top tent option complete with the 10ft ladder…big mistake on my part.

After one or two trips I realised that this was definitely the wrong option, and after almost breaking my leg on our recent trip to Namakwaland had some big decisions to make as we are doing a 17000km roundtrip to the Serengeti next year.

On returning to Johannesburg, I realized that I’d have to make another expensive and possibly time-consuming decision. I contacted one or two manufacturers in your industry and was given delivery dates that would not suit our timeframe. Luckily for me, I made some calls in and around the Johannesburg/ Pretoria area, and as good luck would have it, I ended up at Outdoor Campers in Centurion.

I met with Rudu, Rohan, and Freda and it was an absolute pleasure to deal with these folks. Rudu and Rohan’s advice, their enthusiasm, and their willingness to assist and help us make the final correct decision was invaluable and to be honest very refreshing.After a very brief deliberation period I immediately decided that I would take up their offer to trade in my existing, almost new canopy tray setup for a Bushwakka two-sleeper unit to fit on to my existing double cab Land Cruiser.

The reason for this mail is just to give you some insight and feedback on the absolutely wonderful experience I had with Outdoor Campers. Their advice, service levels and quality of workmanship of their fitment staff are just something I have not experienced in the overlanding industry in a very long time. I realize that they do sell several brands, but they immediately suggested your Kamelback as the best option / product to suit our needs.

I spent many hours on the internet, YouTube, and every single social media platform available, and also watched all your walkthroughs and videos. It didn’t take me too long to decide that I’d made the right decision. So my final setup is now a Bushwakka Kamelback- 25 034 – fitted to my current Land Cruiser. We’ve used it twice now, and I have only good things to say about the product you guys manufacture.

The reason I’ve taken the time to send you a personal email is just to advise that you have guys in Pretoria that are selling your product as if it were their own.

In today’s business world, such service and commitment to service excellence is hard to come by.

(Ps. If you have any further words of wisdom / tweaks/ suggestions whilst preparing our Kamelback for next year’s big trip I would be open to any advice)
